Justin Verlander and Kate Upton have splashed out some serious money for primo real estate in New York City, according to the New York Post.
While it isn’t clear yet how much the couple agreed to pay, the four-bedroom penthouse in Beckford Tower on the Upper East Side was last listed for $16,750,000. It initially came on the market in September 2021 for $20 million.
The couple can easily afford it. Upton is a popular model and actress, and Verlander, a future Hall of Famer, recently signed a two-year, $86.7 million contract to anchor the New York Mets rotation.

The pending transaction for the 4,141-square-foot penthouse comes a year after the couple sold their Beverly Hills, CA, home to Oscar-nominated actor Timothee Chalamet for just under $11 million. The 5,521-square-foot estate was previously owned by tennis star Pete Sampras, who bought it from saxophonist Kenny G.
In 2021, Verlander and Upton purchased an off-season home in Jupiter, FL, for $6.55 million. The gated, four-bedroom spread on the water features 4,621 square feet of living space. Luxury amenities include a design inspired by the British West Indies, walnut hardwood floors, and beamed ceilings.
