New For Cause Eviction Law: How Do Landlords Terminate/Renew Leases Under the New Law?
HB 24-1098 was recently signed by Governor Polis and it’s effective immediately. The law imposes restrictions on the ability of landlords to terminate leases upon expiration if there is “no cause” for termination.

This class will review the legislation and provide practical advice on three key questions:

How do LL’s renew a lease (or terminate if tenant refuses to renew)
How do LL’s evict “for cause”
How do LL’s terminate when they intend to sell, renovate, or move into the rental property.
