A California home renovated by HGTV stars Heather Rae and Tarek El Moussa popped up on the market recently.
Their modern Mediterranean in Long Beach was just sold for $1,635,000. It was listed in January at $1,699,900.
This home was featured on the second episode of the couple’s new series, “The Flipping El Moussas.” On the show, Tarek works on flips with his new wife, Heather Rae, a real estate agent on the Netflix reality show “Selling Sunset.”

She’s used to selling multimillion-dollar mansions and is finding that her upscale tastes can be both a help and a hindrance to Tarek’s signature flips.

This Long Beach home marks a success for the couple, unlike the first property they flipped together, a Silver Lake home that is still languishing on the market.
Heather Rae apparently learned to rein in her over-the-top spending. On this second flip, she even negotiated with the builders to reduce their price.
Built in 1972, this home was infested with cockroaches and filled with junk when the El Moussas purchased it for $1,090,000 in February 2022. Mostly because of permitting delays, they did not relist the renovated residence until January 2023.
“It sold super fast at $1,635,000,” Tarek says at the end of Episode 2. “So we ended up with a total profit of $103,000.”
It’s now a beautiful five-bedroom, three-bath home with first-class finishes from top to bottom. It features wide-plank flooring throughout, remodeled and enhanced bathrooms, and a gorgeous kitchen with new cabinets, quartz countertops, tile backsplash, stainless-steel appliances, and island and peninsula.

On the main level, walls were removed to create a sun-filled great room. Updating the former brick fireplace with a modern Mediterranean theme also enhanced the design.
