After being cut by the Boston Red Sox in December 2022, first baseman Eric Hosmer is swinging for a little profit from the sale of his West Newton, MA, home.

The historic, brick-front estate was built in 1936 and sits about 10 miles outside of Boston.

Hosmer and his wife, Kacie, purchased their “dream home” last September for $6,150,000, according to The Wall Street Journal.

It’s back on the market for $6,575,000—which translates to $814 per square foot of luxurious living space.

And after just 23 days on the market, the 8,081-square-foot home already has a contingent offer.

And although it was built nearly a century ago, the six-bedroom New England Colonial was completely renovated in 2018.

Historic highlights include a curved staircase, arched doorways, three fireplaces, and ornate molding.

There are also custom built-ins and decorative mantels throughout the open-floor-plan space.

A bright living room has a cozy fireplace and flows seamlessly into the nearby light-filled sunroom, which is surrounded by three walls of arched windows.

The seriously spacious dining room boasts detailed crown molding and a beautiful crystal chandelier.

The enormous designer kitchen was seemingly assembled for an all-star chef.

Highlighted by minimalist design, the space features a huge island, high-end appliances, stylish light fixtures, and granite countertops.

A separate dining area is surrounded by windows to enjoy backyard views, with grass nearly as green as what you’ll see at Fenway Park.

There are five spacious bedrooms upstairs, including a “luxurious primary suite with spalike bath and oversized walk-in closet.”

On the lower level, there is a bonus living room with a fireplace, gym, and wine cellar, plus extra storage space.

Located on a little more than an acre of lush landscaping, the home comes with a three-car garage.

Hosmer, 33, broke into the big leagues back in 2011, with the Kansas City Royals. After starring for the Royals for seven seasons and playing a key role in the team’s 2015 World Series win, he inked a rich, free-agent deal with the San Diego Padres. A trade in August 2022 sent Hosmer from the Padres to the Red Sox for a couple of months. After his release from Boston in December, he signed a one-year deal with the Chicago Cubs.
