Recently retired Major League Baseball legend Albert Pujols is ready to walk off from his time in the Sunflower State.

After finishing his 22-year career back where it began with the St. Louis Cardinals, Pujols is easing into a new life.

First up on his to-do list? The sale of a $2.3 million, 10,000-square-foot home.

Pujols recently listed his five-bedroom, 7.5-bath mansion in Leawood, KS, which sits just south of Kansas City and right on the Missouri border. It’s about four hours west of St. Louis, where the slugger starred for more than a decade.

The grand residence sits on a huge double lot and is one of the priciest places for sale in the coveted suburb.

Built in 2007, it has a three-car garage.

The traditional-style home features dark-stained woodwork throughout and an imposing stone mantle over the fireplace. A large island is a highlight in the kitchen, which includes a bar and wine room.

The primary bedroom has double vanities, two closets, its own laundry area, a coffee bar, mini fridge, and luxe bath with a steam shower.

Entertaining in this house is a real home run, thanks to a gaming room, home theater, and well-appointed gym.

Outside on the nearly one-acre property, you’ll spot yet another fireplace, an outdoor kitchen, a pool, and patio—all in a fenced backyard.

A member of two World Series-winning teams, Pujols is part of an elite group. He’s one of just four players in MLB history to hit more than 700 career home runs. A winner of three National League MVP trophies, Pujols left St. Louis after the 2011 season for a rich contract with the Los Angeles Angels. After a decade in L.A., Pujols returned to St. Louis for a final season in 2022 and walloped an additional 24 home runs, pushing him over the 700 mark.
